Mezqal & Tequila
Mezcal
Roasted plantain and savory smoked meats, toasted cacao nibs, big yet elegant on the palate with a robust yet balanced, wood-smoke finish.

Sweet, ripe, tropical fruit, caramelized agave, Chinese five spice and wet stone on the nose. Mineral-rich, and round mouth-feel with an exceptionally long and complex wood-smoke and finish

The nose on El Jolgorio Mexicano is aggressive, and while the spirit certainly has some bite, it’s more approachable than one might first expect. The taste brings notes of slate and a background of tropical fruit with a touch of chili heat. It’s a little bit surly, but very enjoyable.

The Barril piña is dense with sugars and very little water, which results in a Mezcal of great complexity. This Mezcal delicately balances sweetness, citrus, and a distinct minerality. It is earthy with hints of light smoke.

Lupe harvests wild plants and cooks them underground for 3-4 days with oak wood and stone. He uses spring water as his source and ferments in wooden vats buried underground. Next, he distills in copper pot stills with a wooden top. After two distillations, Lupe adjusts his final product with distilled water.

The cooked plants are milled by axe, fermented wooden vats, and distilled in a copper pot stills. Their sotol has notes of leather, mint, cacao, chalk, and dried pepper flakes.

Tequila
Aromas of Raw agave with intense citrus and herbal tones and a finish of a fusion between raw and cooked agave is perceived, achieving a perfect balance with citrus and herbal notes.

Agave cooked with refreshing grapefruit and lime citrus notes and a finish of Smooth citrus notes with a lingering flavour evoking vanilla wood tones.

Each variety of Agave is cooked using the technique of each respective region and then taken to Jalisco. There we infuse it in the best 100% Blue Agave Tequila from the Highlands of Jalisco region.
